Title: “Mindful Self-Compassion

Mindful Self-Compassion© (MSC) is a research-based, scientific approach to the universal human condition. It was developed by two psychologists who are long-time meditators—Kristin Neff, PhD and Chistopher Germer. PhD. MSC has been shown to reduce anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation. Those of us who study and practice the Science of Mind can recognize some common principles and practices between this secular therapy and our spiritual philosophy. After a quick outline of key points, we’ll experience three MSC meditation practices together, then have time to share some brief reflections.
