Science and spirituality are not in opposition to each other; they are both seeking truths about our universe and life. They must, therefore, complement each other. During this 3-part series we take a look at various spiritual practices from both the scientific and spiritual viewpoints, and find they are very much aligned. We begin with gratitude.

Alexis Walker
Alexis has performed around the Pacific
Northwest with choral groups and is a
powerful soloist. She has released four
singles in 2025 under the name “Lex W.”.
With her Bachelor of Arts degree, Vocal Performance focus,
and minor in theatre from Pacific University, Alexis has
completed a fellowship at Portland Opera and is now officially
a part of the company, working in Development as the Donor
Benefits Coordinator. And of course, Alexis is still performing.
She is a member and co-director of Portland Interfaith Gospel
Choir, co-led by LaRhonda Steele.
