With Christmas nearing, we hear a lot about peace. After all, Jesus was known as the Prince of Peace. But, how do we find inner peace amidst hectic lives and a world that can sometimes feel like it has lost its mind? This Sunday, we explore how to find inner peace, and how to pass it on.

Beginner’s Mind:
Buddhist Teaching & Meditation

You have probably heard of the Zen concept of “beginner’s mind,” as popularized in Western culture by the renowned teacher, Shunryu Suzuki Roshi. Tonight we will contemplate beginner’s mind as taught by both Suzuki and the beloved Vietnamese monk, Thich Nhat Hanh. Then we’ll meditate to expand our awareness, Buddhist-style, using a recording from psychologist and spiritual leader, Tara Brach. Let’s go back to basics and find the depth of experience there.
